Women’s Imaging
Welcome to the Women’s Imaging Practice of the Baystate Breast & Wellness Center (BBWC) and Baystate Radiology & Imaging (BRI)
As a physician-directed practice that has been providing imaging and diagnostic services to women in the region for over 30 years, we are dedicated to patient-focused imaging and diagnostic services in a caring and supportive environment. While we are proud of the exceptional quality of the technology that we maintain to serve our patients, we believe that our highly trained and dedicated radiologists, technologists, and supporting personnel are our greatest strength.
Why have Breast Imaging performed at one of our facilities?
We are fully accredited in mammography, ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, and stereotactic breast biopsy. Our practice has been designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology Commission on Quality and Safety, and the Commission on Breast Imaging. We have consistently achieved outstanding performance compared with other national breast programs for quality of care and service based on quality metrics and patient experience. We have received the National Excellence in Healthcare Award by the Professional Research Consultants, which is awarded to the top 10% of breast centers nationally.
Dedicated Staff
The personnel in our facilities are specifically chosen to keep your needs at the center of their focus. We obtain daily feedback from our patients and address every concern so we can continually improve the services we provide and promptly address any issues that arise.
Our technologists are vital members of the breast imaging team and understand that it is essential to work with the patient to obtain the highest quality mammographic images. They are highly skilled and successful in routinely obtaining excellent quality studies.
We are privileged to provide care to many patients and as a result, we frequently care for women presenting with uncommon findings or challenging procedures. In such cases, our radiologists and technologists will thoroughly review the imaging and discuss the findings and recommendations with our patients. Together, we will decide on the best course of action.
